MRF Refurbishment
DXI completed the refurbishment of a waste retention wall within an active MRF operating in Ellesmere Port.
Working within restricted areas of the site, and with access programmed to accommodate the working facility, much of this contract was fulfilled both overnight and at weekends.
The existing damaged holding bay walls were removed intact, and disposed off-site. DXI then supplied and installed an interlocking walling block system, complete with steel spill plates into three separate locations at the facility.
On this contract DXI were retained to both design and construct the walling facility, to complete the pre-construction role of the Principle Designer, and during the construction phase the Principle Contractor role as defined by the CDM regulations.
Exhaustive reporting, cooperation with the local manager, planning and risk reduction management resulting in the works being constructed to the specification, without incident and with minimal disruption to the operation of the MRF.
